Weekly Obsession Wednesday (7)

Hello All. Time for this weeks obsessions. Prepare yourself for a lot of TV show recommendations. Don't know why but I really felt like mentioning some new shows I've started as well as old favorites that I'm watching again. Not all my favorites are TV related just most.

#5 Dancing In The Dark Choreography

I love this dance choreographed by Matt Luck and Emma Portner to Ben Howard and Yael Niem's cover of Dancing In The Dark. I actually found this dance months ago but YouTube popped up with it again this week and I was reminded how much I love it. I enjoy that the choreographers remembered that dance isn't just about your arms and legs. Your head and hands are just as meaningful in a dance. Plus, I just like the song choice in general.

#4 Star-Crossed

I'm really enjoying the new CW show Star-Crossed. I was kind of worried about trying it before it started but I figured "it has aliens why not give it a go." So far I've been glad I gave it a try. I'm quite happy with the lay out of the show and the direction it's going. It's a pleasant mixture of Roswell, Alien Nation, and Romeo and Juliet. Pretty shiny combination if you ask me.

#3 Highlander

This is actually a old favorite show that I'm watching again on Netflix. I started re-watching the series on Netflix and couple of years ago but for some reason never completed all the seasons. So I'm getting back on the horse. Which means watching all the sword fights, martial arts, flashbacks, friendships, and romance that I love so much. Great fun but it kills me when characters I love die on that show. Kills me! I guess their well written characters.

#2 Hannibal

So I'm finally getting around to watching season one of Hannibal. I've wanted to watch it since it started last year because I'm a fan of the Thomas Harris novels. However, I missed out on it last year. Good news is that I discovered that it's free on Amazon with my Prime membership. Yes! It's such a good show. I love how intelligent it is an that it gives little nods to the books. I also like that it's kind of like Criminal Minds meets Sherlock. Except that Will Graham has a way creepier "mind palace" than Sherlock's, and that is saying something.

#1 Animating Titles In Videos and Vlogs

In case you don't know titles are any words that you add to a film or video, be it name of the project or the names of the people who worked on the project. You have to use the editing program to animate the words so they move in different ways. You don't have to but I think it's fun. I didn't used to think it was fun because I didn't know how to do it on my program yet. Now I know how to do the technique and realize it's not all that hard. Hence I'm obsessed with animating works in my videos. It's so fun looking.

Well that's all my friends. Keep it shiny!
