Weekly Obsession Wednesday - Books and Other Joys

Hey everybody. Time for the obsessions for this week. Most of these are book related because I was really into reading this week. However, there were a couple other simple joys that I was obsessed with as well.

#5 All About Eve

I watched this movie again this week for my Must See Movie Monday post. I have to say I had totally forgotten how much I loved this movie. After I watched it I immediately wanted to watch it again. Of course I held off. I figure I should wait just a little bit before watching again. It will be more fun that way. Anyway I stated all the reasons why I love it in my previous blog post so I won't go into it again. I still obsessed with being in love with it though.

#4 My Goodwill Finds

I was in the mood to do a bit of shopping this week and I love to shop at Goodwill. I really needed a couple pairs of shorts and I thought I could find something I liked there. I did indeed find two pairs of shorts with awesome polka dots. I also found a cool button up shirt with owls on it (which you will see in my video this week), a lovely green shirt, and a paperback copy of Peter and the Starcatchers to replace the copy that I lost. I got all this for the low price of fourteen dollars. I love everything I got so much.

#3 Short Books

I'm reading a lot of longer books. Which was lovely. However, I get very weird when I don't finish a book after a certain amount of time. I just wasn't at that point with any of my other books. Luckily a light bulb went off in my head. Short books! You know books between 100 to 200 pages that I can finish in a day of two. I ended up finishing two books in one weekend which made me very happy.

#2 Scribd

Scribd is an application that works kind of like Netflix but for books. You pay an eight dollar monthly fee and you can read as many books as you want on their database. They have a pretty huge catalog of books so it's definitely worth your buck. I've been obsessed with it. Not only reading the short books I mentioned previously but also putting things in my library to read later. Exciting!

#1 The Perks of Being A Wallflower

I became totally enraptured in this little book over the weekend. I started it at about 11:45pm Friday night and finished it on Saturday at 4pm. I stayed up most of the night reading it and I could not take a nap on Saturday until I had finished it. I obviously could literally not put the book down. Haha! I enjoyed it so much. I'm actually kind of afraid to watch the movie because I loved the book so much. However, the trailer for the movie looks pretty good, so hopefully I won't be disappointed.
