Why It's A Must See Movie
If you want to watch a modern comedy that isn't either overly silly to the point of ridiculousness or isn't a romantic comedy, School of Rock is the way to go. It's just good fun and it's hilarious. I literally would say just watch the movie for Jack Black's crazy antics. His interactions with the kids in this film are just priceless. Heck, the kids on their own are pretty funny.
One thing I like about the movie is that the main character learns a lot of lessons within all the comedy. Through nurturing the talent of the students Dewey learns about himself, and what being an adult and rocking out are really about. I think that is such a great element. It makes the movie very endearing as well.
One of the coolest things about School of Rock though is the music. Not just the music played by the characters but the soundtrack itself. The fact that the film blasts tunes by Led Zeppelin, The Who, AC/DC and a whole bunch of other awesome musicians well...ROCKS. However, I occasionally can't sing along to The Doors' song Touch Me without doing Jack Black's crazy dance and singing the horn section. Haha!
This is one of my favorite movies. Seriously. I quote it all the time and act it out. Weirdly people still think it's funny out of context. That's how amusing the dialogue is, or maybe people just enjoy my randomness. Who knows? So if you are looking for a rocking good time check out School of Rock.
