Weekly Obsession Wednesday (6)

Hello all! It's time for this weeks obsessions. I feel like some of these things are things I'm always obsessed with and not just for this week. However, I'm still mentioning them because I'm extra obsessed with them this week.

#5 Hula Hooping

So I really need to exercise doing something other than just dance because I need to lose a couple pounds to help my back. It's been warm enough that I thought I could power walk but it rained Monday so...that didn't happen. Tuesday morning I remembered that last year I learned how to hula hoop and some hoop tricks for a dance I was choreographing. I occurred to me that it was a really good and fun way to exercise. You can work up a sweat, tone, and if you have a decent sized room you and hoop inside. I put some music on and hooped away. I actually still could do some of the hulu hoop tricks. I had a lot of fun so I'm thinking I'll keep it up.

#4 Fanfiction

Okay. I'm always into reading a good fanfiction. Nerdy...I know. Hey, we all have our nerdy ways right? In case you don't know what fanfiction is, it's when fans of a show/book/movie/whatever write their own stories using the characters from their favorite fandom. I don't really write the stuff but I love reading it. I've been reading it since I was around 12 or 13 and I was obsessed with Sailor Moon. Anyway, I go through my little moods when I'm really into reading fanfic. I'm in that mood this week. It's one of those weeks when I have to remind myself to read one of my actual books on occasion.

#3 YouTube

Yet again this is something I always enjoy. I mean I always at least spend one day a week living on YouTube. However, it just seem like I've been on YouTube way more than usual this week. I had a lot of free time on the weekend so I think that's how it started. I got wrapped up in watching some book reviews, then some fan videos, then a web show I'm watching, not to mention some interesting music videos and interviews. I always get wrapped up in those things but I've got caught up like every day this week. Shrug.

#2 Titanic's Final Mystery

You know how last week I told how excited I was about the Smithsonian Channel Documentaries on Netflix? Well this in one of those. I've watched like a ton of Titanic documentaries because I happen to find the subject interesting. Plus, when you like to watch documentaries you discover that many of them are about the Titanic. Titanic's Final Mystery is the most interesting film on the subject that I've seen so far. The investigator for this one really found some new and different findings that I haven't seen on anything else. I have to admit after I finished watching it I wanted to watch it again. It was pretty darn cool.

#1 Eletropop/Sythpop/Technopop/Trip Hop/Dub-Step/Folktronica etc.

Let me put this simply. If you're an artist that creates music with some sort of programmed electronic beat and a synthesizer I am probably listening to you. If I'm not listening to you yet I'm interested in having a listen in the future. It's a sound that my mom and I want to incorporate into out sound so we are studying it. Plus it's a type of music I've always enjoyed.
