Why It's A Must See Movie

I must admit I was a little stumped last night on what movie to pick for this week. Luckily I have Netflix and I could do a last minute scan of their movies. It turned out they had one of my favorite films Guess Who's Coming To Dinner. Hence, I got to re-watch the movie last night before writing this. Shiny!

I am a child that comes from a interracial marriage so you can safely assume that this movie strikes a chord in my heart. That's not the only reason this movie is a favorite film of mine. The movie just happens to feature the most endearing characters played by the best actors. The writing of the film is simply lovely. The film makes social commentary but not in a heavy handed way. It does it a loving and occasionally comical way. The dialogue is so good. It's realistic and poetic at the same time. I like that much of the action in the film comes from body language and layered statements. For some reason when I was watching the film last night I became particularly intrigued with the lighting in Guess Who's Coming To Dinner. It might not be the most artistic lighting in the world all the time but it is still lovely. It allows the view to see all the expressiveness in the faces of the actors as well as the shine in their tears.

Well I think that's all I have to see about this great movie. If you haven't seen it I suggest you give it a watch. If you have give it another viewing. See you all later. Keep it shiny!
