Reading Challenge Update

Hey guys. I'm in the mood to write but not really in the mood to write what I should be writing. Haha! I'm supposed to be writing this week's Must See Movie post early but I'm more in the mood to do a update on my reading challenges. So that is what I'm doing now. As some of you may know I only signed up for two reading challenges. I wanted to start small so I could complete them this year. Here how I'm progressing.

The 2014 Goodreads Reading Challenge

The Goodreads Challenge is when you commit yourself to reading a certain amount of books in the year. This year I signed up to read 30 books. I know that is not that many. I wanted to start small so that I could add on 5-10 books each year until I get to 100. Plus, I read some books really slow and some fast so I started with a small number. I've read 10 books already so I'm already a third of the way through the challenge. I'm actually three books ahead. Shiny!

The Year Of Holmes Challenge

Ok. I'm not doing quite as well with this one. I am really getting stuck on this third Holmes book. It's one of the short story ones. I'm not sure if it because I'm not that into short stories at the moment, or because I found the first couple of them not as exciting a the first two books were. The good news is that I got more into the stories after the first two. I think between that and audio books I might have hope of still finishing this challenge.

Jazz's To Be Read In 2014

Every year I like to challenge myself to read a couple of books that I feel I should read at least once. This list usually consists of just two or three choices. This year I have a couple more than that because of the Sherlock Holmes challenge, but also because I bought a couple of books that I haven't read yet and I hope to read them this year. I haven't really gotten around to starting most of these books, but I figure if I at least read Little Women I'll be happy. Can you believe I haven't read it yet? I've watched almost all the movie adaptations and never read it. I think that is a shame.
