Hello all. I've decided that Thursdays are going to be devoted to my bookish musings. That means short book reveiws or anything else reading related. I'm actually going to post this post earlier in the day next week, but I was torn between doing books for Thursday or Youtube videos. I finally decided it made more since to do Youtube Friday and books Thursday.
Anyway back to the point which is books. It is that time of year my darlings to sign up for the yearly reading challenges. In the past I've been kind of bad about sign up for more challenges than I can handle. Hence, I have decide to just start with two, and only the ones on Goodreads. If I feel like I'm on track I might join one more because it is so tempting.
So far I'm doing the 2014 Goodreads Challenge. This challenge entails challenging yourself to read the number of books you set for yourself. I'm challenging myself to read at least 30 books this year. I thought that was a reasonable number since I like to read long books and a lot of books at once. Last year I only made it half way through the 30 but considering last year was insane that actually isn't too bad. I have confidence I can complete it this year.
The second challenge I'm doing is the A Year of Holmes Group hosted by The Literary Nerd. As I mentioned yesterday I'm obsessed with Sherlock Holmes so I had planned to read all the books this year anyway. Now I will have a great group of readers to discuss them with. Shiny!
