Hey my people! A couple of these obsessions are a little unusual but they are still obsessions. On with the show.
#3 Things I keep forgetting to mention on this blog
I keep forgetting to chat about stuff on here. One thing I didn't really chat about is why I did such an overhaul on the blog layout. I did like a lot of things about the old layout. Still I felt I need to change it. One reason was because I wanted to put widgets on the sidebar of the blog to link to things like my Twitter or to Bloglovin'. I also wanted to make it easier for people who want to follow the blog to follow. Another reason is that I wanted to site to load a little quicker. Lastly I have Google Adsense. I don't blog to make money. I write for fun but if by chance I can make a little money blogging I figure it couldn't hurt. The old layout couldn't really show the adds.
The other thing I've been kicking myself about is forgetting to mention a couple things in my Jaws review on Must See Movie Monday. So I just going to state them now. I wanted to make a point about how the movie has a excellent use of foreshadowing. The writing doesn't over do it but it's there and it's great. The other point I forgot to bring up is that the movie doesn't just use music well but also uses silence in a awesome way. Nothing like tension building silence. Okay that's it on that movie now I've said it all. Haha!
#2 The Paradise
Monday night a.k.a Tuesday morning I was pursing Netflix for something to watch. I thought I was just going to watch the last Young Doctor's Notebook episode and the maybe a Highlander episode after that. Yeah...well...the YDN episode happened and I decided I hadn't had enough British TV. I found this show The Paradise that I had waiting in my queue and thought I'd give it a go. I got totally addicted to it and ended staying up even later to to watch four episodes. I was laughing and crying and everything. I'm definitely going to try to finish the last four episodes of series 1 soon. Then how do I get a hold of series 2? It's not on anything! Noooo! Well I guess it's no rush since I read that it not coming back for a third series on Wikipedia. I still want to see series 2 though.
#1 Coming up with reasons why I should read Allegiant and if I should review the Divergent Series
Okay, I've actually been obsessed with this weeks, but I'm just now mentioning it. I really just can't decide if I'm going to finish reading the Divergent Trilogy, and not just because I've been spoiled the end of the third book. The thing is I thought the first book was just okay. It was something pleasant to read but not much more than that for me. I still thought I was worth giving Insurgent a go though. I am not digging Insurgent. I have some qualms with some of the plot points. However, I think the really reason I'm struggling with it is that the main character has started to display traits that I find super annoying. When the book is written in first person from the main character's point of view this can be a problem.
In a nutshell I have reached a dilemma. I like to do one review of all the book in a series instead of reviewing one book at a time. I know that if I don't read the last book, Allegiant, I probably won't be reviewing the other books. I'm not sure I can read the last book but at the same time I don't want to discount it until I've read it. Also if I do finish it and review the series, I will have to come up with a way to state my thoughts that doesn't make it sound like I hate the books. In truth I don't hate them. Even though I have a few negative feelings about what I've read so far, there are also some things that I think are good about it. Sorry for the rant but I just hate leaving book series unfinished when I have time to finish it. Plus, I'm only one book away from finishing it. Sigh...

Still miss the old layout! Oh well...
But I have to admit the site definitely loads faster now. A couple of questions - do people have to click on the ads for you to get money? And I assume following by email mean I'll get notifications when your site is updated?
Love the music of Jaws! And I think the soundtrack of Jaws 2 is equally excellent - I've seen comments by people who think it even surpasses the original. I have the soundtrack of the first film, unfortunately the Jaws 2 soundtrack is oop, and if you can even find a copy the prices are ridiculously high. :( I think John Williams is definitely one of the best film composers ever.
