Weekly Obsession Wednesday - New Show, New Slipper, Hopefully A New Turntable

Hello all. Here are the weekly obsessions. Sorry they are up later than usual today. I was sick yesterday and didn't get to write the post a day ahead. Anyway let go on with the obsessions shall we.

#3 Longmire

Not long ago we were yet again on a search for a show that Dad, Mom, and I would all like. Mom and I thought we could try the series Longmire. This is a show that was once on A&E but was later picked up by Netflix. Longmire is about a sheriff and his deputies solving crimes in a small town in Wyoming. There are a lot of mysteries going on on the show as well as a bunch of social and political drama. I admit it took me until around season two to become obsessed with this show. It has a bit of a slow build but once it gets rolling it really gets rolling and you have to know what happens. The characters have some crazy back stories and there are some great villainous characters. Plus, the cinematography is beautiful.

#2 Moccasin Slippers

Avon had some comfortable looking moccasin slippers in their catalog. I had to have a pair because I've wanted them for a long time. They usually only sell them for men but they finally made some for both men and women this time around. I am so happy with them. They are comfortable and warm because they are lined with faux fur. They're perfect for walking around the house while still looking bohemian and stylish.

#1 The New Turntable Search

Over the weekend my inexpensive turntable decided to break just enough that I thought I would have to get a new one. The part the spins the record won't stop spinning, so I have to turn it off every time I want to put on a new record. Oh well, it only cost $50 after all and at least it lasted close to a year. I decided that since I'm fully committed to collecting vinyl that it would be okay for me to purchase a new turnable that is a bit of a step up. I was planning to get a new one by the end of this year anyway. I did a little bit of research find something and then asked my mom to research as well. Mom is a product research genius. We found something that I think will be work well. It has much better speakers and CD and radio as bonus. All I have to do is order it. I'll let you all know what it's like when I get it.
